We are honored to announce that Custodio & Dubey LLP was spotlighted in a recent edition of the Los Angeles Daily Journal. The article dug deep into our law firm’s roots and its recent move to the Union Bank Building on Figueroa Street in downtown L.A. You can read the article here.
Our four-attorney firm was founded by attorneys Miguel A. Custodio Jr. and Vineet Dubey. It serves clients — many non-native English speakers — in auto accident, premises liability, and Proposition 65 claims.
Both sons of parents who immigrated to the U.S., Custodio & Dubey find satisfaction in helping wronged or disenfranchised clients secure justice.
Custodio’s premises liability work often focuses on apartment tenants, some of who are illegal immigrants, who run into conflicts with landlords and have difficulty asserting their rights.
“I really see my parents in a lot of these clients,” Custodio told the Daily Journal. “When they go to an attorney, they put 1,000% of their hope into the attorney, and they hope the attorney can guide them and counsel them and fight for them…Being able to get good results is highly satisfying for me.”

Dubey’s work has a similar focus on social justice, where he assists clients in cases involving Proposition 65, also called the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986. He’s identified lead in products sold at major retail chains such as CVS, Ralph’s, Kroger, and WinCo Foods, and in brands such as Gorton’s salmon filets, Barilla Pasta, and Gerber baby food.
“It blows my mind that every time we do testing that there’s so much lead in our food supply,” Dubey told the newspaper. Lead exposure and poisoning are harmful to adults and children alike, associated with major organ damage and developmental delays. It’s also classified as an anticipated carcinogen by the National Institutes of Health.
